What is the best thing Bedul Belau has to offer to its members and fellow Belauans back home?

Thank you for your comment. That is surely a question that we often ask ourselves and by asking we are gradually moving towards a good end. It is a question that we should never put on the back burner as a group of Palauans and especially as individuals (Palauans).
By asking ourselves this question of what our club has to offer to its members and to our homeland, we as a collective body work together in seeking ways that make our membership with BBC valuable and worthwhile. At the same time, searching together has helped us take on other things like service and dialogue. Hopefully this process will shape responsible citizens and inspire us to be productive contributors to our Island-Nation.
Thank you for your suggestion and we will certainly continue to ask ourselves this important question.
I got one. My birthday is coming November 20th..yeah it’s a while from now. But I was wondering if we can have a “sweet” 16 birthday party. A palauan party. I want to do this since the past 15 years I didn’t want to have one. But since it’s the big 16, i want one. My birthday happens to land on the weekend. All I’m asking is for a party: food, music, dancing and so on.

I hope this site is considered a progress and/a first step toward more fruitful discussion of things/issues that are postive and useful for our life journey.

All everybody..! Happy late birthday to Kolu & Dichel…Happy birthday Alice, Sem & Bobo..! Joleen, Good job on the website! KUDOS..to all BBC members! Possible topic for you guys to discuss. Recently in Palau, ar mecheuodel ra beluu er Belau are getting neglected by their families and the rates are high. Also minors are run away from their homes and living in places like the track and field. The economy is okay for now, but the government is slowly falling apart. Delegates, governors, Special prosecutors, and other important officials are quitting their posts. I understand that being in the states limits everyone as far as helping or getting up making a change. But if you have a voice, then it really doesn’t matter where you are. We are the future of Palau, so Palau’s future concerns us all. I hope you guys take these topics into consideration. If you like more detailed information please let me know. I’ll be happy to provide them. Sulang

Thank you for your insightful suggestion. You mentioned several interesting issues which are good topics for our dialogue. You are right in saying that being away limits us on not only what we can do but also our sphere of awareness in regards to issues at home (Palau). Having you there provides us with some access to some of the social issues that are playing out over there that we would otherwise not know of. We will certainly include your suggestions in the discussions and will let you know how it went. Congratulations on working for Roll’Em. I know a couple of the OTV folks and they’re all pretty cool people to work with. I’m sure you will learn a lot and your job will certainly bear fruit.
